Living
A large selection at a low price: About 5,000 residency spots for students are available through Student Services. Even the market for private apartments caters to the student's budget: Göttingen's rents are much lower than in comparable university cities.
Cafeterias
The cafeterias in Göttingen have received many prizes nation wide. 14,000 meals are prepared in the 14 cafeterias of Student Services. Low-priced, healthy and diverse: Approximately half of the students eat here.
Finances
Money makes the world go around: Student Services advises in all questions regarding BAföG (student loan by the German government) and financing for students. The job exchange offers part-time jobs for students; scholarships are awarded for good grades or commitment. Small loans are given by the AstA (student government).
Studying well-connected
About 300 computer workstations with free access are available at 25 locations for surfing, sending emails or writing texts. Campus, SUB and downtown areas are furnished with WLan - an antenna is enough to surf. Students living in residence halls profit from the user-to-user connection.
The internet account means comprehensive service: laser printer, anti-virus programs, current Microsoft Windows updates and Linux distribution. Students can create their own homepage for free. Extensive courses are offered on the use of computer programs.
